Wisconsin issue victories

Partners at Wisconsin's c3 table report key issue victories in last week's election. In Milwaukee, a paid sick leave referendum passed with 69% of the vote, making Milwaukee the third city in the nation to require that private employers provide paid sick days to employees. 9to5, the National Association of Working Women, led the effort to place the referendum on the ballot and rally support. Health care advisory referendums supported by Citizen Action of Wisconsin's state-wide campaign passed in all 22 cities and counties where they were on the ballot, garnering 74% of the vote.
