Statement of Work

The Minnesota Civic Engagement Table (MN CET) is a collaboration of progressive 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations working to build their public power to achieve change. The MN CET accomplishes this by increasing the active civic participation of more residents of Minnesota, particularly in underrepresented communities. The MN CET supports this work by:

  • Providing shared organizing tools such as a central civic engagement voter file;
  • Coordinating civic engagement organizing efforts to maximize impact and minimize duplication of efforts;
  • Building more power to forward a progressive movement through training and sharing of the best practices of civic engagement work;
  • Creating a healthier democracy in Minnesota by assisting with new leader and organizer development to increase the capacity of organizations doing this work, and;
  • Raising funds to expand the civic engagement efforts of organizations.

Key Outcomes

Four key outcomes measure the advance toward this statement of work:

Increase the share of underrepresented and/or socially responsible voters, and increase the percentage of voters flagged on the central voter file as underrepresented and/or socially responsible;

  1. Regular public opinion research to measure the development of a progressive issue environment;
  2. Measurable increases in partner organization capacity such as larger numbers of skilled leaders and volunteers, increased membership, and expanded tangible infrastructure;
  3. Measurable cost savings and efficiencies for organizations through specific shared services, and additional financial resources to partner organizations.
