Ohio
Summary
Ohio is once again a Battleground state. That means people are inundated with messages, many of them contradictory.
This makes the work of Ohio Voice partners all the more important—these organizations are trusted by the constituencies they are reaching right now, providing them with crucial information about voting early, about the importance of voting—and the support they receive is vital!
Ohio Voice is comprised of a variety of organizations, from the activist public health oriented ASIA, Inc which is reaching out to its constituency with a new message—VOTE—to the Ohio Coalition on Black Civic Participation, a group of well-respected organizations working to turn out African Americans throughout Ohio, to Women’s Voices. Women Vote, which has a terrifically well-organized effort to ensure that women exercise their right to vote. All of the groups are working not only to turn out the vote, but also to ensure that individuals remember what’s at stake when they cast their ballots.
Ohio Voice is working to increase the efficiency and efficacy of its participants by providing access to key voter file tools, training, and strategic assistance relating to areas of focus. Maximizing resources is a key element of Ohio Voice’s work, helping participants to work together and thus register and reach more voters.
