In early December, State Voices co-hosted a post-election convening with Common Cause and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Participants included the Brennan Center for Justice, the ACLU Voting Rights Project, Rock the Vote, Voto Latino, The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, other national and state partners, network staff, and funders.

Topics of discussion at this convening included data and technology, voter registration in the states in 2016, Census and redistricting, funding, and enacting our shared values. Additionally, Roger Vann, our Executive Director, gave a TED Talk about movement-building after we’ve met our long-term goal of widespread voter registration modernization. We are excited to build on our discussions to increase future collaboration and chart our path forward!
