State Voices has recently named two state table directors to our board: Erin Dale Byrd of Blueprint NC and Tamieka Atkins of ProGeorgia.
Erin Dale Byrd is the executive director of Blueprint NC. She has more than 18 years’ experience working on issues like increasing the minimum wage, public financing of judicial campaigns, and same-day voter registration. She is a member of Black Workers for Justice and a founding member of the Fertile Ground Food Cooperative in Southeast Raleigh. She has received numerous awards and accolades, but is most proud of her accomplishments as a mother.
Tamieka Atkins is the executive director of ProGeorgia, Georgia’s state based c3 civic engagement table, and a member of the State Voices National Network of Tables. ProGeorgia is a bold, trusted, and diverse collaborative that champions an equitable and inclusive democracy, for and with traditionally underrepresented communities. Tamieka has dedicated over 15 years to building long term sustainable power for communities of color, with a focus on voting rights and quality of life issues.
