We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Alexis Anderson-Reed as the new Executive Director of State Voices, beginning September 4.

Alexis Anderson-Reed is a rising leader in the social justice movement, whose career has been dedicated to community organizing, coalition building, public policy, and strategic planning in the context of racial equity and the politics of power and privilege. She comes to State Voices from the Funders’ Committee for Civic Participation―a national philanthropic affinity group that builds the capacity of progressive funders—where she has been deputy director since 2016.

This is a homecoming for Anderson-Reed. Before joining FCCP, she was the Senior Director of Programs in the State Voices national office, leading efforts to support and expand the work of state tables. Prior to that, she was a state table director herself, as executive director of Wisconsin Voices, where she founded the Our Democracy 2020 Table to expand voting rights in the state.
