Sara Vernon

National VAN Administrator

Sara serves as State Voices’ National VAN Administrator. In this role, she helps non-profit partners participating in the Tools for All program utilize the Voter Activation Network.

After graduating from SUNY Buffalo State College in 2011 with a BA in cultural anthropology, Sara enrolled in her first AmeriCorps VISTA term with the Serve New York VISTA Program. As a three-term VISTA alumna, Sara comes to State Voices with a strong capacity-building skill base. While serving in AmeriCorps VISTA, Sara also volunteered with Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York and took a position as their Grassroots Organizer at the conclusion of her third term of service.

When Sara isn’t at work, she enjoys exploring rust belt cities, watching stand-up comedy, and volunteering.
