New York Civic Engagement Table
Melody Lopez, Executive Director
The New York State Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) provides a unique space for meaningful collaboration among c3 organizations. Table partners represent many regions of New York State, various issue areas, and a number of communities. The table promotes the collapsing of barriers that prevent the exchange of best practices amongst these groups and the fostering of uncommon relationships. The table also provides sharing of technology, data and experience that leads to significant cost savings, as well as higher quality civic engagement work. This environment is essential in order to create multi-year, collaborative citywide and statewide civic engagement work across organizations.
- Civic Access: Build a campaign for voting rights in NYS
- Civic Engagement: Drive a collaborative plan for statewide civic engagement focused on issue organizing, voter registration, and get out the vote organizing
- Civic Representation: Ensure all communities are effectively represented through an inclusive and fair census count
- Leadership Development: Build leadership pipeline dedicated to establishing a cohort of leaders across the state
