Tools For All

Tools For All (TFA) provides civic engagement data, technology and expertise to over 800 national and state-based social change organizations in every state.

By sharing these resources we have created an ecosystem that is increasingly more powerful, equitable, and sophisticated.

Through TFA, social change 501(c)(3) organizations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia gain access to the following tools and trainings:

  • Catalist: A database of over 240 million unique voting individuals across all 50 states and the District of Columbia
  • State Voices Voter Action Network: An online voter engagement platform that can be used to manage campaigns and interactions with the Catalist voter database
  • Action Network: A digital organizing tool that can be used to fundraise, organize campaigns and actions, and mobilize supporters
  • State Voices Data Certification Program VAN: A guided training course in basic VAN administration.
  • ThruTalk discount: The State Voices contract with GetThru allows us to pass on the substantial nonprofit discount (between 2.4 and 2.75 cents per dial) to our partners that wish to use their ThruTalk dialer.
  • OpenField: OpenField provides enhanced organizing tools that enable nonprofits to conduct more effective door canvasses and phone banks. Their app allows volunteers to fill in the gaps missing on voter files and utilize open-ended response formats.
  • Empower Project: The Empower Project provides resources to boost relational organizing programs. Approved 501(c)(3)s can enjoy free access to a suite of organizing tools, including both the organizer and activist smartphone apps.
